Presentation: "Enterprise Messaging with ActiveMQ and Spring JMS"

Time: Wednesday 14:15 - 15:30

Location: Volmer Room

Abstract:

Systems based on messaging are increasingly being recognized for better handling of unpredictable changes as well as for scaling further than traditional tightly-coupled applications.

Apache ActiveMQ is an open source message broker that supports JMS, provides client access from many different languages and offers many advanced features necessary for enterprise level messaging.

The Spring JMS APIs greatly simplify JMS messaging by handling common scenarios for you. With these APIs, both synchronous and asynchronous messaging and also Message-Driven POJOs (MDPs) become very easy and are a perfect complement to ActiveMQ.
