Enrique Duvos

As Group Manager of Flash Platform Evangelism in EMEA, my role is to manage the Adobe elite team of technical evangelists as they drive adoption and build thriving communities.

Our role as Platform Evangelists is to help customers, partners and developers across Europe understand and adopt the benefits and characteristics of the Adobe Flash Platform core technologies, such as Adobe Flash, AIR, Flex, Flash Catalyst, BlazeDS and Flash Media Server.

Prior to the Adobe merger I was part of the Macromedia technical sales team specialized in the company's enterprise portfolio of technologies.

With a major in Computer Science and a Master's in distributed applications, my background includes more than ten years in the Software industry, five of them in R&D as Senior Software Architect designing and developing J2EE enterprise solutions for Macromedia US.

Abstract:

Recently SpringSource announced Spring BlazeDS Integration, a new open source project to provide tight integration between Spring and Adobe BlazeDS, Adobe's open source server-based Java remoting and Web messaging technology.

This collaboration will make it easy for Java developers to create enterprise-class rich Internet applications (RIAs) using Adobe Flex software, a cornerstone of the Adobe Flash Platform, and Spring, the de facto standard for enterprise Java. In this session developers will learn the basics of the integration and will learn how to build an application that leverages this new technology.
